LitSpark Young Writers Publish Their Stories!

Local Ottawa authors - Lisa Han, Jia Punjabi, Sophia Chen, Rubi Li, Cecily Jurgens, Megan Yu, Wafia Kamran, Natasha Santo, and Sophia Ren - may still be in high school, but they've done something amazing... published a book!

This LitSpark Youth anthology brings together 16 stories by young authors working to help those in need – of a good story, of literacy support, of a friendly voice. These tales are funny, moving, and representative of many young people's experiences today, including feeling alone and finding community.

LitSpark Youth is a youth-led nonprofit based in Ottawa, Canada, dedicated to making literacy more accessible for children, immigrants, and underserved communities. The organization, primarily run by Ottawa youths, seeks to spark change through literacy, hence the title of the anthology: The Spark Within.
