About Carl Aass

With degrees in Architecture (University of British Columbia) and engineering (Carleton University), Carl Aass spent his professional life in both the public sector and the Canadian federal government and as a consultant. Born under the sign of the Monkey, his natural curiosity inspired him to live and work in many cities including Ottawa, Vancouver, Venice, Oslo, Shanghai, and Quebec City. The past several decades have seen him focus more on China - it's history, culture, languages, and brilliantly-planned economic growth over the past 30-odd years.
